New Beginnings

It’s always interesting to start something new. You never know where you’ll end up and you definitely learn a lot along the way. That is certainly true of my renewed efforts at trying to give our website a new, fresh image.

It’s good to try to be up to date, but it’s increasingly difficult to keep up with the changing world we live in. That’s why it’s great to be able to fall back on the Word of God. It is a timeless message that never goes out of date. That’s because God Himself never changes (Mal. 3:6)

Interesting to think that none of us have really changed since the time of Adam – well at least not after he fell. That was some major change for him! And we were all plunged into the same curse; the one that God placed upon him and all his descendants when he disobeyed. Not a pretty picture.

But it is also true that God’s response to my sinful condition has not changed either. Despite all the modern technology and scientific advances God does not see us any differently than He did when He looked at Adam or Abraham or Moses. He still requires faith in Jesus Christ so that we may be saved from our sinful condition. It is as simple as that.

What is faith in Jesus Christ? He said that He came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. So if you know that you are a sinner in God’s eyes, then you know that He is not pleased with you. But the way to gain His pleasure is to believe that the Lord Jesus Christ saves sinners. If you believe that His blood atonement on the cross of Calvary is the only way to have your sins forgiven, that is faith in Jesus Christ.

If you’d like to know more, please call. I’d love to explain more.
